Urban SHG FSSAI Certification Training
TNULM had organized an orientation-cum-registration campaign for Urban SHGs involved in the production of food and food related products for FSSAI Certification on 03.09.2022. 1247 SHGs had benefitted from this state wide campaign. The program was presided over by Tmt. B Priyanka IAS, State Mission Director, TNULM and the special address was given by Thiru Jebaraj, Officer, Food Safety Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam
TNULM had organized a train the trainer program for district coordinators of Women Health Volunteers of National Health Mission. These WHVs have been selected from TNULM SHG network and their task is administered and coordinated through National Urban Livelihood Mission. The training program was conducted by Thiru Subash Babunath Mangalam, State Mission Manager, SMID and Partnership and Convergence.
Eat Right Walkathon
TNULM SHGs had showcased their food products in the State Level Exhibition organized by Food Safety Department in the Eat Right Campaign. Over 52 SHGs had participated and exhibited healthy products made out of traditional rice varieties, millets, health mixes and sweets and savouries made by SHG members. The program was coordinated by Thiru Murthy and Thiru Subash Babunath Mangalam, SMMs from TNULM.
Rain Water Harvesting Awareness Programme
Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department organized an awareness programme on Rain Water Harvesting in the city. TNULM had arranged SHG members to act as volunteers in the campaign to promote awareness about RWH in the city.
Saras Mela
TNULM along with the TNCDW organized Saras Mela- Navaratri Exhibition, in which a lot of TNULM enrolled SHGs participated through displaying their products and food stalls. This programme acted as a platform for a lot of TNULM SHG members to earn income and it also helped them to get more connections.
India Post Payments Bank- Business Correspondents Selection Camp
TNULM organized Selection Camp for the role of Business Correspondents in the India post Payments Bank on 02.12.2022. This programme gave an opportunity to unemployed urban poor and SHG members by providing job opportunity to improve their living standard. This programme was organized by Thiru. K. Murthy, SMM from TNULM.

EST&P Training Inauguration
The event relates to the inauguration of ESTP Bridal Course by empanelled Skill Training Provider, Womens Rights and Development Trust, Dharmapuri. A batch of 30 women from BPL families residing in Urban Areas of Dharmapuri are enrolled into the course. The course finds good potential for wage and self employment. EST&P- Sewing Machine Operator Training
Tirupattur Unit of TNULM - Under the ESTP Component, Women SHG members of TNULM are provided training in Sewing Machine Operator Course by CHASE Vocational Training Center, in Tirupattur District. The event pertains to the inauguration of the training program and distribution of the induction kit to the participants by Thiru Murugesan, Assistant Project Officer, TNULM, Thirupattur
ALF Office Bearers Training Programme
Tirupattur DMMU of TNULM had organized a training program for all the Office Bearers of Area Level Federations that were newly formed in the district. District Resource Persons were engaged for imparting the training on governance, book keeping, training modules, livelihood opportunities for SHGs federated under ALFs.
EST&P Bridal Fashion and Photography Training
Chengalpattu Unit under TNULM, conducted Bridal fashion and photography training for urban youth to promote employment opportunities and to improve their living standard. This Program was inaugurated by Thiru. Baskaran, Assistant Project Officer, Chengalpattu district.
CLF Office Bearer Rotation Programme
Tiruvallur unit under TNULM conducted Office Bearer Rotation activity for City Level Federation. During the event, books of accounts were closed and handed over to the incoming set of office bearers and overall roadmap for functioning of CLF for the coming year was discussed in the presence of Tmt. Kalpana, Assistant Project Officer, Tiruvallur district.
COVID Vaccination Camp in CLCs
Tiruvallur unit under TNULM, conducted Covid Vaccination Camp in the Avadi City Livelihood Centre in order to restrict spreading of the Covid-19 virus.
Special Swachta Campaign
Salem unit under TNULM, conducted Special Swachta Campaign along with TNULM SHG members and general public creating awareness on 3Rs- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
World Toilet Day Celebration
Under the Chennai unit of TNULM Thiruvalluvar nagar ALF celebrated world toilet day on November 19th at Perungudi Zone. This Programme was used as an opportunity for creating awareness on eradicating open defecation in public places among children and urban youth.
Urban SHG Products – Export Market Training
TNULM had organized a state level symposium for encouraging export of SHG products on 14.09.2022. Sector experts had offered details of the schemes related to export of products and how SHGs can prepare themselves and their products for competing in the export market. SBM 2.0
A special campaign was kick started by the Thiru. Shiv Das Meena IAS, Addnl Chief Secretary, Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department and Thiru Gagan Deep Singh Bedi IAS creating awareness on domestic waste segregation by TNULM SHGs in their neighbourhoods. Vara Sandhai
TNULM SHGs has showcased their handmade food, cosmetic and fancy products in the VAARA SANDHAI conducted at the Tamil Nadu Corporation Development for Women, Valluvarkottam, Chennai on every 1 st and 3 rd Saturdays every month and was commenced on 18.06.2022.
Tenement Awareness Activity
TNULM conducted awareness campaign about the mission and its components on 07.10.2022 and 08.10.2022 in AIR Land, Perumbakkam and Kannagi Nagar to provide awareness about the Mission to the tenement people.
TNULM CLC Manager Orientation
TNULM conducted Training for Labour Laws Pertaining to engagement of contract labour through Private Manpower agencies with CLC Managers on 17.10.2022 to create awareness on revenue generating opportunities in CLCs and on positioning the CLCs as a platform for product and service delivery through the urban poor. This programme was coordinated by Thiru. Maniraj SMM from TNULM.
Customer Relationship Management Training
TNULM Conducted Customer Relationship Training to Blue Collar workers on 13.09.2022, promoting knowledge to blue collar workers on how they should behave with customers while being part of the TNULM Urban Serve.
ALF Bulk Loan Disbursement
The Pudukkottai DMMU issued Rupees Forty Lakh to Veeramangai ALF and Rupees Forty-Five Lakh to Pudhumaipengal ALF to improve employment opportunities and living standard of self-help group members.

TNULM Mayiladurathurai Unit has been actively encouraging its SHG women members engaged in Micro Food Processing activities to avail the seed capital fund support given under PMFME scheme. As part of the month long campaign, Thiru Michael Raj, APO, TNULM can be seen interacting with a PMFME beneficiary SHG women member.
MTM Uniform Distribution to WHVs
Salem unit of TNULM, organized distribution of induction Kits to TNULM Women Health Volunteers who are part of National Health Mission to provide diagnostic medical assistance in non-communicable diseases to general public at their doorsteps. The District Mayor Thiru. Ramachandran and Commissioner, Salem Corporation, Thiru Christu Raj I.A.S issued the induction kit to the Women Health Volunteers in the program.
City Livelihood Centre
Tiruvallur unit under TNULM, Inaugurated City Livelihood Centre in Avadi ULB to provide revenue-generating services to the neighbourhood. The CLC will also act as a platform for display and sales of SHG products. Also, blue collar professionals from the ULB can register themselves on the TNULM Urban Serve Platform and make their services accessible to a larger population.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav - Har Ghar Tiranga
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav - Har Ghar Tiranga program was inaugurated by the District Collector at Salem district. SHG women from TNULM actively participated in the event and helped stitch the national flag for distribution in the neighbourhood.
Bankers Meeting with COs
Salem unit of TNULM conducted Bankers meeting with Regional Manager, State Bank of India and Community Organizers of the district to surpass the targets set under SEP component of DAY-NULM for urban SHGs.
Credit Linkage to SHGs
Nilgiris Collector, Thiru S.P. Amrith IAS, distributed credit linkage to 60 SHGs to the tune of 16 Crore loan. This programme was held on 08.06.2022 at Udhagamandalam Urban Local Body, Nilgiris District.
PMFME Training
TNULM had organized a training for Urban SHGs involved in the production of processed food products to facilitate them to avail Rs.40,000 per resource person. The training was inaugurated by Thiru. Swachhtha Special Campaign
A special campaign was organized in 649 ULBs and 38 DMMUs of TNULM where SHG women were sensitized on the 3Rs- Reuse, Reduce, Recycle and waste from government organizations were handed over to TNULM SHGs for methodical disposal in the 3R paradigm. Women SHGs were encouraged to create reusable items from the wastes disposed and had exhibited products made of eco-friendly and bio-degradable materials. SBM 2.0 Waste Segregation
TNULM conducted waste segregation programme SBM 2.O in schools and other communities, as part of creating awareness among children about waste segregation and waste management.
Youth Skill Training
TNULM conducted Training on Livelihood Opportunities for Urban Youth in Service Sector for students from various streams from the Queen Mary’s college for women, Chennai on 10.09.2022 at the Tamil Nadu Corporation Development for Women, Valluvarkottam, Chennai.This programme was coordinated by Mr. Nithyanandamme and Mr.Murthy, SMMs from TNULM.
Fish Amino Acid Preparation, Packing and Branding
TNULM conducted Training for preparation, packing and branding of Fish Amino Acid on 06.08.2022 for COs, CRPs and SHG members from 13 coastal districts of Tamil Nadu.
Training cum Workshop for DCCB Managers and MIS/DEO
TNULM conducted training cum workshop on SEP Interest Subvention to all DCCB Managers, MIS Analyst and DEOs from districts on 27.10.2022. The main motive of the programme was to give training to banks and districts on PAiSA Interest Subvention Approval. This programme was organized by Thiru. K. Murthy, SMM from TNULM.

Town Hall, City Level Federation, Coimbatore Unit of TNULM had organized its monthly meeting. Several issues related to the functioning of ALFs and SHGs functioning under it were discussed. SHG Activities
Ariyalur Unit of TNULM is taking special initiatives in supporting SHG women improve the market value of their products and to reach the same to a larger audience. A separate web-portal has been created by the District Unit to sell SHG products. Seen in the picture attached is an TNULM SHG women member who is into weaving of cotton sarees, in designs that are exclusive to the district.

Under the Chennai Unit of TNULM, Thiruvalluvar Nagar ALF in Zone 14, Greater Chennai Corporation participated in the Hello FM program where our ALF members interacted on maintenance of community sanitary complexes in the city by SHG members, under Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0
Scheme Review Meeting

Bulk Loan to Self Help Groups
