State Mission Manager (SM&ID), TNULM/ DAY-NULM, Tamil Nadu
Subash is a subject matter professional in Social Mobilisation and Institution Development and
the State Mission Manager, SM&ID, TNULM. Tamil Nadu has been one of the best performing
states in the country in the DAY-NULM Mission in the SM&ID component, and he has been the
pillar of support for driving the community cadres towards group formation and in graduating
them towards higher goals of community activities.
He brings over 15 years of experience from the World bank funded Pudhu Vazhvu & Vazhndhu
Kattuvom Project, which has focussed on poverty alleviation and grass root level empowerment
in rural Tamil Nadu. He leads the Partnership and Convergence wing of the Mission in the
SMMU, which deals with tie-ups with organizations.
He has been instrumental in setting up and supporting over 26,000 micro-enterprises under the
State Balance Growth Fund. He also actively contributed to the research on the need analysis of
the state's youth and conducted the first job mela by bringing companies from the capital to
distant districts.
